We transformed this cramped cottage into a spacious light filled haven.
This was an interest project. The aim was to turn the current multiple small rooms into a spacious living area.
To do this we removed internal walls between small poky rooms creating an open airy space. The we extending the external walls in the lounge and dinning area to meet the existing celling.
By re-pitching the old roof and replace the old corrugated tin with colorbond Surfmist it instantly created the cottage look desired. And added years of protection and stability.
Replacing all windows with double glazed timber ones made this home energy efficient and brought plenty of natural light into the house.
We raised all the split floor levels to match the existing area. Then laid down Hydropro matte brushed waterproof blackbutt timber flooring throughout the home. Making it feel warm and inviting.
We replaced the old tired cramped kitchen with a new modern kitchen that flows into the open U-shaped dinning and lounge area.
We changed an exciting window into a double-glazed French door leading to the outdoor entertainment area. Making the flow between the indoor and outdoor areas more cohesive.
Adding the finishing touch to this cottage we extended the awing over the front veranda. Replacing the old aluminium columns with new heritage style timber post.
